I missed the Bon Odori last 2 year due to wedding assignment. This year I am glad that I get to attend this annual event again, especially thanks to Fumi & G3k to secure me a photographer pass to enter the fence

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk “Penang lah”

This is the third walk organized in Georgetown, and was my second walk.
It was an early morning walk, we started at 7am and ended around 9am. Journey surrounding the downtown area of Penang road, …Went to the morning Jalan Kuala Kangsar market, had some tea and famous toasts at Toh Soon cafe. Along the way we also enjoyed the freshly roasted sio bak, the business was so good that the whole sio tu was chopped up and sold within 10 minutes.

It was fun doing photowalk with a dozen of photo buddies.
Below are some of the shots this year. All shots were taken with the new Sony NEX-3 with some color edition in Photoshop.

Penang Heritage Wedding Portraits

I think this competition was held more than a month ago, not surprise..late to post again, i’m always slow There were 4 sessions held at different locations, namely Fort Cornwallis, Penang Little India, Beach Street and Chew Jetty. Too bad i only managed to attend one session due to attend a meeting on weekend. Anyway it was a very challenging photo shoot with about 40-50 photographers to 1 model (Karen Toh). Didn’t really shoot much, more like having fun with my photo buddies there..kakaka. Here are some of my shots.

Scott Kelby’s World Wide Photowalks – Penang, Malaysia

It was great to join the big team (about 50pax) for the Penang Heritage Photowalks organised by Scott Kelby’s. For the Penang’s Team, we were lead by Matt Brandon, who is a digital trekker travels all the round the world to capture portraits of people set in their natural environment.

ok……What is a Photo Walk?
It’s a social photography event where photographers get together, usually in a downtown area or trendy section of town, to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers.

World Music Festival 2008 – Show Time!!

Finally 3 days heart pumping music event is over. it was a wonderful and eyes opening festival, guys….believe me…u all must be there next year…Thanks again to Arden of Pixels Studio, and all the team members! will be back next year!

World Music Festival 2008 – Appreciation Dinner

Many thanks to Arden Koo, of Pixel Studio, for the opportunity to join the official photography team to cover the World Music Festival event this coming 2nd-4th of May at botanic garden quarry park, 2008. As an introduction to the performing teams, an appreciation dinner was held at Khoo Kongsi on May 1st. Me and a few of my buddies who are on the team as well, namely teetoo, hooikeat and g3k took the opportunity to shoot more photos of the Khoo Kongsi temple, as well as traditional dance performances by Penang’s own local dance troupes.
